This is an old friend! She and I grew up together and were best buds when we were little. We recently saw each other after many, many years and have been keeping in touch ever since! She is also a photographer and she came down to take my family's pictures today. I got the chance to pull out my camera for a little bit and get some pictures of her! She was feeling me in on some great tips she got from a work shop she just attended. I was practicing shooting wide open (for some reason it scares me to go all the way open! 1.8 baby....pretty scary).
Anyways, here are a few snaps! Man, I would love to have more chances to practice like this! you know....trying new things, shooting new angles......NO PRESSURE to do good. he he...
At my photo shoots, I stick to what I know, that way I know what the results will be! This was fun to do something I don't normally do and see the results!
I really like the top "jumping" pic. I think you captured her spirit there. Wide open shooting is scary. When you close down depth of field, you feel like you have more control. Good job!

Thank you! yes, I like to stay at 4.0 or above! It's like my comfort blanket. LOL.
You go girl....once you shoot wide open, you'll never go back! LOVE these...especially #3! =)
I had the best time Melissa. I'm so glad we've been able to reconnect after so many years and I'm happy we're friends. :)
